About the Auction
WENDY GRUBER ARTIST FUND AUCTION
NOVEMBER 9, 2007 - 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
This event is an exclusive opportunity (limited seating) to meet award-winning artists and bid on their work at an auction to celebrate the memory of Wendy Gruber, highly acclaimed and award-winning Sausalito artist. Over 50 of her artist friends from Marin County and New York are donating their work, along with selected paintings by Wendy from her private collection, to be auctioned at a benefit for The Wendy Gruber Artist Fund.
The auction will take place on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at the Mill Valley Community Center. The evening includes a wine reception, hors d'oeuvres by Wild Thyme, and both a live and silent auction of original works by Wendy Gruber and many of her friends from the Sausalito Art Festival and the Industrial Center Building (ICB) in Sausalito. Proceeds from the auction will fund art programs for youths and the Wendy Gruber Career Development Grant, administered by the Marin Arts Council.
Tickets to the fundraising art auction can be purchased by calling PJ Jones at (415) 435-7081 or e-mailing artauction@wendygruber.com. There will be limited seating. Tickets are $65 per person in advance, $75 at the door based on availability only. No tickets will be mailed, all tickets will be held at the door. Donations to the fund can be made to the Wendy Gruber Artist Fund, P.O. Box 713, Tiburon, CA 94920. Artist's work will be available for viewing online prior to the auction in mid October.
The evening will begin with a Preview Reception from 6:00 - 7:30. The Live Auction will commence at 7:30 immediately followed by the Silent Auction. It promises to be an evening full of art, fun and much love for a very special artist that we lost too soon.
